Hello! I hope you and your family enjoyed the Christmas holiday. This will be the final e-update of 2024, so I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year!
We will be back with our full e-updates on January 10th. However, I wanted to make sure folks knew some upcoming important dates for the 2025-26 legislative session:
It all starts Monday, January 6th with Inauguration Day at the Capitol. Barring scheduling changes, I look forward to welcoming the New London High School Chamber Ensemble and Pastor Emily from the First Presbyterian Church of Winneconne and Weyauwega!
The New London Ensemble will be providing music for the State Senate Inauguration and Pastor Emily will be offering the opening prayer. Thank you to everyone for making the trek to Madison!
After the inauguration, we will be establishing our calendar for the year and expect a quick start to the session. There will be a flurry of activity on legislation in the first few months of 2025 along with debate over the 2025-27 state budget.
I will also be holding listening sessions around the district starting in February. We will share those details as soon as we have them confirmed in this e-update, on our spring mailer, in the paper, and on social media.
I look forward to another legislative session serving as your state senator!
