19th Senate District Update: December 8, 2023

Hello! This week, two bills I authored were signed into law. Wisconsin Legislature: 2023 Wisconsin Act 78 permits electronic transmissions under employer-sponsored health insurance policies and plans. Wisconsin Legislature: 2023 Wisconsin Act 82 improves the practice of cerumen management and fitting and dealing in hearing aids. The Senate Committee on Universities and Revenue heard two bills I authored on campus free speech. The Senate Committee on Health also met this week to vote on important items, hold a hearing on several important bills, and find solutions for the long-term care workforce crisis.

My staff and I were also happy to meet with:

  • Menasha Utilities Water Plant
  • Involta
  • WI Association for Home Health Care
  • Ascension
  • Wisconsin Hosptials Association
  • Aurora Health
  • BioSolids
  • Zero Eyes
  • Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association

Next week, the Senate Committee on Committee on Local Government will hear a bill I authored that would help municipalities create combined business improvement districts.

I’d also like to wish a Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate!
