Busy Week
Hello! This was a busy week both in Madison and the district.
I was happy to participate in the legislator roundtable put on by Wisconsin Health News. This event brought together senators and representatives from both sides of the aisle to discuss our health priorities for the upcoming session. If you would like to see a recording of the roundtable, click here.
This week we also had a lot of meetings in Madison, with many of them centered around how the healthcare industry can better serve patients. This included discussions with the Department of Health Services, the Marquette School of Nursing, the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans, the Alliance of Health Insurers, and Anthem Insurance. My hope is that these and future discussions lead to better health outcomes for Wisconsinites.
We were also happy to meet with the Fox Valley and Moraine Park technical colleges about the system’s budget priorities for this year. With more and more folks pursuing this college path, we will continue reviewing how to best support technical education around the state.
I hope you all enjoy your weekend!
