In and Out of Madison

Hello! I hope you had a great week!

This week, we had quite a few meetings in Madison, with most of them representing different groups of folks from around Wisconsin. Some of the meetings revolved around education, both at the elementary and college level, while others dealt with statewide businesses like agriculture and credit unions. I also met with representatives of the mental health and health care industry to discuss priorities for this session. It was great to meet with folks representing the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and the League of Wisconsin Municipalities to discuss priorities in our area. Glad we could catch up with Mayor Woodford from Appleton briefly as well!

Around our area, I toured Rawhide Youth Services in New London. This nonprofit is committed to helping teens and young adults struggling with their mental health and behavioral challenges find healing. They have a wonderful facility and I was impressed with the staff’s dedication to carry out their mission. I also visited the Long Cheng Marketplace, a local marketplace offering a variety of Asian cuisine. They have great food and very friendly service!

It’s Radon Action Month! If you would like to find information about available test kits and more, visit the Department of Health Services website! Availability and price varies by county:
