19th Senate District Update: January 5, 2024

Happy New Year! This week, I had two of my bills heard in committee. The first bill would allow certain federally chartered organizations, such as the Scouts, the ability to hand out information at schools. The second bill, heard in the Committee on Ways and Means, would help parents save more money for their kids education by expanding college savings accounts (529s).

My staff and I were also happy to meet with:

  • The City of Milwaukee
  • Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau
  • Charter Schools
  • Department of Corrections
  • Department of Health Services
  • University of Wisconsin

Next week, there are several committee hearings in the capitol ahead of the January floor session! Two committees I serve on will be meeting, plus three more bills I authored are continuing to move through the public hearing process. Here is the full calendar of events. I am also looking forward to many meetings around our area!
