19th Senate District Update: July 21, 2023

I was able to rope my staff into taking an office photo this week! When you call our office you can now put a face to the name. (Right to Left) Sydney Faestel (District Director), Ryan Retza (Chief of Staff), Michael Moscicke (Policy Director), and Will Terry (Communications Director)

It was a busy week in-district and in the legislature! My staff and I had productive meetings with:

  • Legislative Fiscal Bureau
  • Transfr
  • Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL)
  • Department of Public Instruction

I also had the pleasure of touring:

  • The Guckenberg-Sturm Preserve
    • With the Audubon Great Lakes Association
  • Pick N Save
  • Nova Counseling Services

Additionally, I introduced legislation that would make retiring in Wisconsin more affordable for retirees who may be struggling to keep up with today’s inflation. Our “Tax Free Retirement” bill would remove all taxes on retirement earnings up to $100,000 per filer, or $150,000 for joint filers.

I look forward to this bill receiving a public hearing sometime this fall!
