19th Senate District Update: July 26, 2024

The eyes of Wisconsin (and to some extent – the country) were on the 19th Senate district this week!

EAA AirVenture has again attracted huge crowds from around our region and Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh became one of the busiest airports in the world! Whether you were able to join in at AirVenture 2024 or simply sat in the traffic on I-41, I hope everyone continues to enjoy the fun through this Sunday.

Sovereign State Days in Winneconne was also a huge success! Awesome work by the organizers for creating the space to celebrate yet another year of sovereignty. Make sure to mark your calendars for next year: July 17th-20th, 2025!

This week we got to see the long-anticipated ribbon-cutting at Lundgaard Park. This has been many years in the making and I want to thank local leaders, neighbors, and the Lundgaard family for making this a possibility. Firefighter Lundgaard’s memory of service to our community will continue to positively impact so many for years to come.

Lastly, as you may have heard, Wisconsin has primaries and elections coming up this year! You can find what’s on your ballot, how to find out when and where to vote, and more information at MyVote.wi.gov.

My staff and I were also happy to meet with folks from:

  • City of Appleton
  • Department of Health Services
  • St. Coletta

Next week, I look forward to many more meetings in our area!
