19th Senate District Update: May 12, 2023

Another busy week! I was happy to participate in several meetings in-district as we look forward to a busy month-and-a-half in Madison as the budget get finalized!

This week my staff had productive meetings with:

Budget Update

This week the Joint Finance Committee was waiting for updated tax estimates from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau. They have announced two executive sessions for this upcoming week. I am looking forward to continued updates from the Committee.

Traveling to the Capitol

My office is available five days a week for anyone looking to travel down to the Capitol and would like to check out our office!

Committees

This session, it is my honor and privilege to have been selected as the chair of the Senate Committee on Health for this upcoming biennium. My number one priority has always been to increase affordability and accessibility in health care for the state of Wisconsin. Additionally, I’m excited to share my legislation with you once we get closer to introduction, stay tuned!
