19th Senate District Update: October 11, 2024

Hello! This week was a lot of traveling down to Madison and around the district. My staff and I were able to discuss priorities presented by long-term care facilities, Wisconsin’s three mental health clubhouses, the Department of Health Services, and more. I was also happy to chat with teachers, parents, and students from Tullar Elementary in Neenah!

On Thursday, my staff and I toured the Hancock Agricultural Research Station in Waushara County. This is a UW-Madison facility that performs field testing for a nitrate sensing project that the Dairy Innovation Hub kick-started. It has since earned multiple federal grants. Click here if you would like to learn more.

This week, I also delivered the weekly Senate Republicans radio address on returning your hard-earned money back to you. Listen here!

I also want to highlight the Fall Color Report from Travel Wisconsin. This interactive map helps identify when the leaves will be changing color throughout Wisconsin. The predicted peak color forecast for Appleton and Waupaca is the third week of October, while Oshkosh is a week later. Check it out!

Lastly, as you may have heard, Wisconsin has elections coming up this November! You can find what’s on your ballot, how to find out when and where to vote, and more at MyVote.wi.gov.

My staff and I were happy to meet with:

  • Yahara House
  • LeadingAge Wisconsin
  • Tullar Elementary school
  • Period Law
  • Medical College of Wisconsin
  • Wisconsin Department of Health Services
  • Hancock Agricultural Research Station
