19th Senate District Update: October 18, 2024

Hello! This week I spent time traveling down to Madison and around the district. My staff and I were able to discuss upcoming priorities for Equal First Aid, the Wisconsin Lakes Coalition, and more. I also spent time with the Bay Lakes Council for Scouting America.

On Tuesday, the team toured the UW Hospital Eastpark Medical Center. This new UW hospital will be prioritizing innovative in-house clinical research, offer extensive treatment services, multi-specialty care for complex conditions, and improve needed health care access right here in Wisconsin.

I also want to highlight the Fall Color Report from Travel Wisconsin. This interactive map helps identify when the leaves will be changing color throughout Wisconsin. The predicted peak color forecast for Appleton and Waupaca is the third week of October, while Oshkosh is a week later. Check it out!

Lastly, as you may have heard, Wisconsin has elections coming up this November! You can find what’s on your ballot, how to find out when and where to vote, and more at MyVote.wi.gov.

My staff and I were happy to meet with:

  • UW Health
  • UW Population Health Institute
  • Wisconsin Lakes Coalition
  • Wisconsin Hospital Association
  • Equal First Aid
