I hope you all enjoyed the Labor Day weekend. It can be sad to see summer go, but there is a lot to look forward to this fall from apple cider to football – including game 1 for the Packers tonight in Brazil!
This week I met with the folks at Midstate Independent Living Choices in Stevens Point to learn more about some of the challenges the sector faces and possible future opportunities to help more people stay in their homes when possible.
I also met with Portage County Supervisor Steve Cieslewicz to discuss upcoming goals for Portage County and how the state may be able to help.
Lastly, as you may have heard, Wisconsin has elections coming up this November! You can find what’s on your ballot, how to find out when and where to vote, and more at MyVote.wi.gov.
This week, my staff and I were happy to meet with folks from:
- Wisconsin Naturopathic Doctors Association
- Midstate Independent Living Choices
- Portage County Board
- Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative
- The Alliance, health care collective
Next week, I look forward to many more meetings & events in our area!
