Hello, welcome to my e-update!Â
Thank you for being an informed constituent of Wisconsin’s 4th State Assembly District. In my newsletter you will find updates about your community, the state legislature, and everything in between.
Sexual Assault Kit Processing Bill Passes Committee
Last week, the bill I’ve been working on with my colleague Senator Jesse James to create a timeline for the State Crime Lab to process sexual assault kits passed out of the Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice. It is now on its way to the Senate for a committee hearing. I’m grateful that my colleagues in the Criminal Justice Committee recognize the importance of this legislation and voted in favor of it!
Share Your Thoughts on the Budget
As the legislature undertakes writing the state budget for the next two years, it is important that we hear from you. The Governor’s proposed budget would increase state taxes and fees by over $2 billion. Do you think this is sustainable? What do you want to see in the legislature’s budget proposal?
If you have thoughts on the budget or concerns to share, fill out this public feedback form directly to the budget-writing committee, the Joint Committee on Finance:

My Votes This Session
It’s already April, which means the state legislature has been in session for four months. More than 100 bills and resolutions have been introduced by my colleagues, and several of them have already been voted on by the full Assembly. If you would like to see how I’ve voted on any bills so far this session as well as bills I’ve introduced, visit my legislative website at the link below.
