4th Assembly District Update: March 29, 2024

Happy Good Friday!

Banning Zuckerbucks

On April 2 all Wisconsinites will have the opportunity to vote on a new constitutional amendment that would ban the use of private money in election administration.

Last week I shared information about the two questions that will be on your ballot April 2nd. Above is a helpful infographic that gives some background on the questions and explains them in further detail.

Requiring Carbon Monoxide Detectors in Schools

Wisconsin State Rep. David Steffen will introduce a bill requiring carbon monoxide detectors in schools.

I recently announced a bill I will be introducing next session that will require CO detectors in schools. Two weeks ago, dozens of students and staff from the School District of Crandon were treated for illnesses triggered by elevated CO levels in the school. Having CO detectors in schools — like smoke alarms — can save lives and keep students and staff safe at school. I look forward to introducing this legislation next session.
