4th Assembly District Update: March 8, 2024

Session Highlight:
Historic Funding Increases for Local Government

I believe the best government happens at the local level. That’s why I was proud to support historic increases in funding for local governments as part of the most recent biennial budget. A total of $275 million in new supplemental county and municipal aid was distributed to local communities across the state — in addition to other much needed reforms like the repeal of the onerous Personal Property Tax.

In our own 4th Assembly District, municipalities saw an average increase of 126% in shared revenue funding and have used these funds to expand key services like fire, police, and EMS. As your representative in Madison, the safety of our communities is my top concern. These critical increases in local funding will pay dividends in our communities’ safety and success for years to come.
