4th Assembly District Update: October 6, 2023

Wisconsin Motor Carriers Annual Convention

I recently had the opportunity to give opening remarks at the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association’s annual convention here in Green Bay. It was an honor to address this group of individuals from a very important Wisconsin industry – trucking and transportation. WMCA represents thousands of Wisconsinites in this industry, and I greatly enjoyed the chance to speak at their convention this year.

Testifying on Absentee Ballot Tracking Bill

Wisconsin State Rep. David Steffen testified before the Assembly Committee on Campaigns & Elections in favor of a bill that would create an absentee ballot text message tracking system in Wisconsin.

This week I testified before the Assembly Committee on Campaigns & Elections in favor of a bill I’ve introduced that would create an absentee ballot text message tracking system in Wisconsin. Last week I testified on this bill in the Senate, and I am happy to see it progress in both chambers. As more and more Wisconsinites choose to vote absentee, it’s important that they know when their ballot reaches its final destination. This bill provides a simple way for voters to stay informed.
