Operation We Love Our Troops
GOP Assembly Representatives and staff packed over 2,600 items to send to our troops last month!
A few weeks ago, I participated in an event hosted by Wisconsin Women 4 Our Troops at the State Capitol. called, “Operation We Love Our Troops.” Together, with my colleagues and staff, we packed and shipped two care packages to a servicemembers. The care packages include personal care items, snacks, a Wisconsin State flag, and letters from 4th graders thanking the troops for their service.
Wisconsin Women 4 Our Troops sends packages to troops throughout the year. If you know of a friend or family member who is stationed or heading oversees, send their contact information to my office and I will reach out to Wisconsin Women 4 Our Troops on your behalf. A care package will be sent to that person at one of their future events.
UPDATE: Our Care Package Was Received!
Rep Goeben / WI Women 4 Our Troops,
I want to personally thank you both for your support to our unit, while serving in Operation European Assure Deter and Reinforce. The care packages were greatly appreciated, and the Wisconsin Flag is proudly hanging in our HQ office! Currently, we are throughout AO Victory which consists of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania. The thank you cards, colored and personalized by the children brought smiles and laughter to all of our faces. It is always a welcomed note to see how children process such a large idea of deployment. Please extend our thanks to those teachers that set this up as well.
From all of us at the 432d CA BN, Alpha Company, AO Victory, THANK YOU!
District 5 Local Visits
There have been several Police Lights of Christmas events this summer and I have enjoyed each one I have been able to attend. These events are fundraising opportunities where funds are collected and gift cards are purchased and given to law enforcement officers. Then when an officer has interactions with people who have financial need gift cards can be given to offer a bit of hope and cheer.
