The Wisconsin State Fair and Wisconsin tourism go hand-in-hand!
Wisconsin tourism is one of the top economic drivers in our State and is responsible for:

  • A $23.7 billion impact to our economy,
  • Providing over 174,000 full and part time jobs,
  • Attracting over over 110 million visits to Wisconsin.

Tourism items in the Wisconsin state budget.

Our budget provided a one-time boost of $20 million in marketing funds, along with a bump in base marketing funding of $1 million annually – a 7.5% increase.

  • These funds help Wisconsin compete with our neighboring states at attracting visitors.
  • We provided $10 million for an Opportunity Attraction and Promotion Fund to attract major events to our state and to draw more visitors to Wisconsin.
  • The Republican-authored budget also matched federal funding for the Wisconsin Arts Board through Sept 2025.

Outdoor recreation

Office of Outdoor Recreation

State Parks

  • $20 million in upgrades.
