Legislation Making Progress
Three bills I authored were successfully voted out of their respective committees this week.
The “Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Act” passed out of the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections 6-0. The bill moves on to be scheduled on the Assembly floor, where I hope to see it pass in a similar bipartisan manner.
Furthermore, Senate Bill 125 and Senate Bill 124, relating to nuclear energy, were in motion within the State Senate. They passed out of the Senate Committee on Utilities and Tourism 5-0 and now move forward for scheduling on the Senate floor for further consideration.
This is incredibly positive progress for getting sound policy initiatives across the finish line. Updates will continue to be provided as we work through the legislative session.
Understanding the Energy Future
I want to thank the 5 Lakes Institute for organizing a fantastic event and presenting me with the Emerging Energy Champion Award. (See featured photo above.) The 5 Lakes Institute recognizes the sensational opportunity Wisconsin has to become a leader in nuclear fusion technology and the tremendous impact it would have on our state.
Fostering these collaborative environments to solve the needs of our energy future is essential. I’m glad to see an increasing realization of the stagnant electricity production Wisconsin has experienced for too long, and the incredible efficiency nuclear offers for in-state production and generation during this highly anticipated demand increase.
It was an honor to receive this recognition, and I must thank my constituents for the opportunity, and the organization for putting it all together.
Happy Mother’s Day!
This Sunday is Mother’s Day!
The day should be a joyful celebration of the immeasurable impact mothers have on their families and society. We should all to take the time to remind them that their work and value are deeply appreciated.
I encourage everyone to express love and gratitude for their mothers and to reflect on the vital role that motherhood plays in our families and communities.
