NOLA Public Schools

“NOLA,” New Orleans Louisiana, Public Schools has become one of the PREMIER SCHOOL SYSTEMS in the Nation according to an article published in the Epoch TimesNew Orleans Transforms Public Education With All-Charter Model | The Epoch Times

What happened in New Orleans? According to the article: In 2005, more than 60 percent of the city’s public schools were considered “failing” and among the Bayou State’s lowest performing. Today, none of its public schools are failing; 92 percent of them have an A or B grade from state and national organizations that rate academic progress, and the district overall just finished the academic year with a B grade, its highest ever, said Caroline Roemer, executive director of the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools.

“This progress reflects what is possible when autonomy, accountability, and innovation are sustained over time,” she told The Epoch Times.

And you will note the words in the article title: “All-Charter Model”!

Now let me pile on. Under the direction of an ALL Republican (REAL REPUBLICAN….NOT JUST A TAX-AND-SPEND SWAMP) government, NOLA Public Schools has achieved these results at a cost of somewhere between $17,000 and $18,000 per student, let’s say $17,500* *Numbers are calculated using 2025 budget numbers and 2026 enrollment, which is lower enrollment than 2025. That’s what I could find. What are you paying per student in your school district?

To recap, we have a failed school district re-build based on a CHARTER SCHOOL MODEL, amazing educational results, and all of it achieved on a reasonable and responsible budget. WHY IN THE HELL HAVEN’T WE DONE THAT IN WISCONSIN? I can answer that question in one word. DEMOCRATS.

We are now experiencing an educational reign of terror being jammed down our throats by the EDUCATION GOVERNOR and his pals in the Republican Swamp. And after passing tax-and-spend budget, after tax-and-spend budget the children in Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Racine, and Kenosha have nothing to show for it. They can’t even read, write, or do math at grade level. Thanks Tony. Thanks Robbin.’ What a great job you clowns did.

What we really need is a REAL Education Governor, one with “Common Sense.” One that can go into these cities and show them a way to cure their educational COVID. And we need an Education Legislature to go with and support the Governor’s office AND support the people in the districts mentioned above.

Education, one with positive results, is an 80-20 issue in Wisconsin. It is an issue that can turn blue cities RED in the blink of an eye with a little “Common Sense” and a big bunch of positive campaigning. Mr. Tiffany and real Republican candidates everywhere, are you listening?
