Democrats are united. Both Dem candidates for Governor, Franny Hong and Mandela Barnes, are determined to crush the dreams of Milwaukee children and their parents by ENDING SCHOOL CHOICE in Milwaukee and all across Wisconsin. That’s the claim of a recent opinion piece on Foxnews.com. Wisconsin Democrats vow to abolish school choice for 60,000 students | Fox News
Ever since Republicans introduced school choice into Wisconsin in 1990, the Dems have been driven to cancel the CIVIL RIGHTS of Milwaukee’s poor and minority students by sentencing them to 12 years in the penal system known as Milwaukee Public Schools with no hope of parole. NOTE: Isn’t it ironic that the Dems want to both release criminals from prison onto Milwaukee’s streets and lock up your children at the same time? Democrats have made it clear that they have no interest at all in the welfare of children, especially those whose parents voted for them. Their only concern is pouring money into the rat hole that is MPS.
But the Dems are not leaving the killing of education in Milwaukee to chance.
According to the article: “……. the progressive legal organization Law Forward filed a suit that could end the Dairy State’s school choice programs, alleging that these programs run afoul of the state constitution. The 2000 supreme court ruling that permitted vouchers did so only so long as the state legislature provides “sufficient resources” to traditional public schools. Even though the state currently funds Milwaukee Public Schools to the tune of $25,000 per student. Law Forward alleges that these resources are insufficient.”
That’s $25,000 per student of STATE FUNDS. How much more comes out of local taxes? And according to the lawsuit, that amount is not enough. And because it is “not enough,” school choice, and the hopes of Milwaukee’s children, need to die. So, when your children start to steal cars or sell drugs, when your uneducated kids get gunned down in a crossfire, you will know who to blame. You can start with the Candidates (Hong or Barnes), and you can end with the fools who occupy the majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
But before you do that, you might want to take a good look in the mirror and ask, “Who did YOU vote for?”
