The lethal blows to Kamala Harris’s bid for the Presidency will be delivered by her ideology and her record. Donald Trump will easily defeat Harris if American voters have access to the truth and our elections are verifiable. A contest that contrasts two incompatible visions of the future and the track records of Trump and Harris will be no contest at all.
The Democrats and the media have been exuberant since the anointing of Kamala Harris to replace Joe Biden at the top of the ticket. She is enjoying seemingly universal support among liberals and none of the anticipated calls for other options have materialized. This is really no surprise. We have learned that Harris is the only candidate with access to the millions that have been raised for the Biden/Harris campaign and, with about 3 months until the general election, there just isn’t time to weather the infighting and party politics that would have undoubtedly come with a contested primary.
Harris would never have been the choice of a Democratic Party looking to win a general election. They rejected her outright early in her bid in 2020. But she is not Joe Biden. And for now, that was enough to pull them out of the funk they were in.
Who is Kamala Harris?
Harris was born and schooled in California. She is an attorney and in 2003, she was elected San Francisco District Attorney. She was Attorney General of California from 2011 – 2017 and was elected to the United States Senate from 2017 – 2021. When her 2020 run for President failed, Biden tapped her for Vice President. During her various elected positions and her run for President she exposed her ideology and how she would govern.
In 2024, Pew Research confirmed that Americans are most concerned about the economy, immigration, crime, and national security. They will cast their votes in November for the candidate who, in their judgment, will best deliver results on the issues that matter most to them.
The Economy
Prices are up 20% since Biden/Harris took office. Inflation was 1.4% in January 2021 and rose to over 9%. Food prices are up 20%, gas prices up 50%, and the cost of a median price home has more than doubled. Biden and Harris have tried to gaslight the American public with statistics cherry-picked to mask the truth. The Heritage Foundation summarized the situation in easily understandable terms: The average American paycheck can buy about $50 less than when Biden and Harris took office even though the paycheck is $150 larger. Today’s home prices and interest rates have a family paying $13,350 more a year for the same house they would have bought in January 2021.
During Donald Trump’s first three years in office, food prices were up 5.3% and wages soared by 12.7%. People were getting ahead under Trump. They are being crushed under the policies of Biden/Harris.
Immigration
Harris’s track record on immigration is long and defiant of the rule of law. When she was District Attorney of San Francisco her office put out the statement, “We are a sanctuary city, a city of refuge, and we always will be.” In 2015, as California’s Attorney General she said, “An undocumented immigrant is not a criminal”. In fact, entering the United States illegally is a crime.
Immediately upon taking office in 2021, Biden and Harris did away with the effective measures Trump had put in place to control the border. Their incompetence has resulted in more than 9 million people logged crossing the border illegally and another at least 1.8 million “got aways”.
Biden made Harris the point person on illegal border crossings. Rather than move quickly and competently to stem crossings at our border, she approached the problem with the ridiculous goal of addressing root causes of migration in South and Central America. She called it “hope at home.” There is no better example of “pie in the sky” liberal fantasizing to contrast with Trump’s “nuts and bolts” let’s get it done approach to problem solving.
When Biden and Harris were elected in 2020, 90% of illegal border crossings were from Mexico and Central America. In 2023 only 49% of crossings were from that region. Illegal migrants are coming from all over the world and there is ample evidence that there are violent criminals, terrorists, and drug traffickers among them. In December 2023, there were 250,000 illegal crossings, an all-time high.
In June of this year with the election looming, the Biden administration began to panic. Joe Biden signed an executive order to close the border any time there is an average of 2,500 illegal crossings a day in one week. The American people are not interested in incremental improvement. We want our border secured.
Donald Trump will reinstitute measures to secure the border and has pledged to deport those who came here illegally during the Biden administration.
Crime
Kamala Harris has a record on crime she cannot escape. After she became the likely Democratic nominee for President, Joe Gamaldi, the national Vice President of the Fraternal Order of Police said, “If Kamala Harris becomes the next President of the United states she will be an unmitigated disaster for public safety in this country.”
Harris has been a supporter of defund the police and in 2020 said, “It is wrong and backward to think that more police officers will create more safety”. When the LA mayor slashed $150 million from the police budget and moved it to social services Harris said, “I applaud (mayor) Eric Garicetti”. The LA Daily News recently reported that violent crime in California is at its highest rate since 2008 and has increased since 2020 according to Federal data. Southern California has been labeled a “crime hub” with aggravated assaults and “smash and grab” robberies soaring.
National Security
The world has become increasingly volatile since Biden and Harris took office. The withdrawal from Afghanistan was a disaster ($7 billion in US military equipment left for the Taliban and 13 US troops killed). Wars in the Middle East and Ukraine are raging. Iran is waging proxy wars by funding terrorist organizations. China and Russia are flexing their muscles in response to the weakness emanating from this administration. Harris has absolutely nothing in her resume or her persona to suggest she is capable of projecting credible strength on our behalf to the world. Trump has demonstrated he has the courage and the skill to keep us on a course of peace through strength. His America first position starkly contrasts him with the globalism of this administration. He will not sacrifice our wellbeing at altar of world government.
Kamala Harris cannot run from her track record.
Harris’s track record extends far beyond the American voters’ top priorities. In 2019 she was rated by the “non-partisan” GovTrack the “Most Liberal Senator” in Congress. In a stark reminder that there is no such thing as a “non-partisan” organization when it comes to politics, GovTrack just removed the ranking and replaced it with “left-most Democratic Senator” in their obvious attempt to help her win her bid for President.
Here are some additional things Kamala is on the record for and will implement if allowed to.
- She will bury the American people in climate change regulation and cost. When running for President her climate plan was $10 trillion. She pledged to ban fracking and offshore drilling. She co-sponsored the “Green New Deal” and will seek to put an end to the fossil fuel industry. Donald Trump promises energy dominance.
- She supports Medicare for all and will eliminate private health insurance.
- She is a champion of unregulated abortion and tells lies with ease about the Trump agenda being banning birth control and invitro fertilization.
- She supports burdening taxpayers with forgiving student loan debt.
- She will trample on individual and parent rights. She actively opposes states banning educators from discussing sexual orientation and gender identity in elementary and middle schools.
- She will fight to fundamentally change government structures designed to protect the minority from tyranny of the majority. She supported ending the filibuster in the Senate to ram through the Green New Deal with a simple majority and is now joining with Joe Biden in trying to restructure the Supreme Court to neutralize the conservative majority.
- She is an enemy of the 2nd Amendment and will ban so called “assault weapons” and institute mandatory gun buy-backs.
- She is frequently on the record on equity versus equality. She is a champion of what she calls equity – channeling resources so “we all end up at the same place.” That’s communism not freedom.
Kamala Harris has a flimsy resume and is unqualified to be the President of the United States. She embraces an ideology that, if unleashed, would destroy this country. She has not produced a single thing of value to the American people while Vice President. Our choice is stark and clear. Harris will be running fast and hard away from her record and trying to deflect attention onto Donald Trump, the “convicted felon.” The corrupt media is in high gear working to tip the scales toward Harris. As journalist Mark Halperin recently commented, the media is so overtly biased they will give Harris a billion dollars’ worth of free press and make sure the news cycles favor her. The cheating that will be required for Harris to win and the lies that will be disseminated by the media threaten a free and fair election. It will be up to us to remain focused on election integrity, keep the country’s eyes on the truth, and redefine the meaning of massive voter turnout. Our freedom depends on it.
