Hello again on a holiday, Neighbors! Full Council Week is here again but due to the holiday start to this week, the expected full council meeting on Wednesday is cancelled. There is one other meeting scheduled — quick recap below — but the rest of the week is meeting-free in City of Appleton government.
First, we’ll all ring in the New Year tonight! I wish you all a beautiful and prosperous 2024!
Then on Wednesday, 01/03/2024, at 8am, the Appleton Public Arts Committee is meeting. They have one action item on the agenda — to talk about and potentially approve the 2024 selection process for the new artwork for the Welcome Tower in Houdini Plaza. The proposal is for another photo contest with this year’s theme of Recreation in Appleton. Here are the proposed guidelines for the contest should you be interested in submitting any photos you may have already taken that reflect this theme. Entrants will have until June to send in photos for this competition… so there’s no rush.
