53% of likely Wisconsin voters say best days are still to come if we do the right things to get back on track;
32% believe best days are still to come
DELAFIELD, WI: Throughout the summer, the Institute for Reforming Government (IRG) has conducted a number of statewide polls, regional polls, and focus groups to better understand the views of Wisconsin voters.
Our Latest Findings:
- Harris 49%, Trump 48%
- Among Trump voters who are independent, 46% say something might come up that could change their mind
- Biggest cause of doubt about Harris are her policy positions (37%) and track record (21%)
- Baldwin 50%, Hovde 44%
- Hovde winning key demographics
- Ages 45-54: 49% Hovde, 40% Baldwin
- Ages 55-64: 53% Hovde, 40% Baldwin
- Who do you trust more on issues important to you in Wisconsin?
- 41% Wisconsin Republicans in the Legislature
- 32% Governor Evers
- Superintendent Underly facing significant challenges as only 20% of all voters would like to see her reelected
Wisconsin Voters Prefer Center Right Policies
IRG’s polling found that despite a close election in a purple state, the voters’ policy preferences align with center right proposals. Key Findings:
- 50% of all voters would require legislative approval for all regulations
- 67% of all voters strongly favor or somewhat favor a policy of reviewing all administrative rules more than 7 years old
- 46% believe that their personal finances will be helped most by a Trump victory
- 47% believe Biden’s policies are primarily responsible for the current inflation crisis
