City of Appleton: Board Meeting Schedule

The Common Council meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.

Public participation is welcome at city council meetings. Here is the board’s policy:

The Council provides a 15 minute period of time to allow public participation at each Council meeting. The City Clerk or designee shall be the official time keeper. Public participation shall be limited in subject matter to issues appearing on the Council Agenda. Persons wishing to speak must sign the registration list prior to 7:00 p.m. on Council night. Suspension of Rules will be required to allow public participation to exceed the time allotment. An extension granted by the Suspension of Rules shall be for 15 minute increments.

City Hall is closed on the following days:

May 29 – Memorial Day
July 4 – Independence Day Observation
September 4 – Labor Day
November 23 & 24 – Thanksgiving
December 22 & 25 – Christmas
January 1, 2024 – New Years

Joseph Bast was born and raised in the Fox Valley, graduated from Kimberly High School, and went to college and had a career in Chicago. After retiring in 2018, he returned to the Fox Valley and currently resides in Appleton’s new Riverheath community. He and his wife, Diane, created the Wisconsin Patriots Toolbox website and are active with Northeast Wisconsin Patriots and Appleton Concerned Taxpayers.
