The October 7 meeting of Fox Valley Initiative will feature Tony Wied, the Republican Party candidate for the 8th Congressional District seat abandoned earlier this year by Mike Gallagher.
Wied is a small businessman whose endorsement by Donald Trump earned him a primary victory over Wisconsin State Sen. Andre Jacque and former State Sen. Roger Roth. Wied’s Democrat opponent in the November 5 general election is OB/GYN Kristin Lyerly.
Wied’s policy priorities include:
- securing our Southern border
- curbing out-of-control government spending
- American energy independence
- peace through strength
- supporting Wisconsin agriculture
- protecting U.S. innovation
Wied will be discussing those priorities and offering an update from the campaign trail.
There is no charge to attend, and no need to register in advance. The meeting will take place at FreedomProject Academy, 750 North Hickory Farm Lane, Appleton. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.
