Congressman Tom Tiffany: Conservative Hero

According to many political scorecards, Congressman Tom Tiffany ranks as Wisconsin’s most conservative member of Congress and one of the most conservative congressmen in the entire country. On October 17, Tiffany traveled to De Pere to show local patriots there what a real congressman looks like.

The event was hosted by Northeast Wisconsin (NEW) Patriots as one if its monthly events held on the third Thursdays of most months. The meeting took place at a new and much larger-than-usual venue, the Cedar Creek of De Pere Event Center at 1018 Cedar Street in De Pere.

Tiffany represents Wisconsin’s 7th congressional district, the state’s largest district with borders with Minnesota and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Tiffany has held the seat since winning a special election in 2020 following the resignation of Congressman Sean Duffy, whose daughter was diagnosed with a life-threatening heart condition.

Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district, which includes De Pere, has been without representation in the U.S. Congress since former Rep. Mike Gallagher resigned without explanation on April 19. Incredibly, he and Governor Tony Evers conspired to keep the seat open until November 5, when the winner of the general election for his replacement occurs. How that isn’t unconstitutional is beyond me. Geeze.

Anyway … Tiffany was warmly welcomed by NEW Patriot members. The first half of his presentation focused on the threat that refugee resettlement and illegal immigration pose to Wisconsin communities. Small towns risk being overwhelmed by the costs imposed by newcomers who don’t speak English, lack employment skills, and are unwilling or unable to integrate into American society. Many are unvetted, and some are terrorists or have other criminal backgrounds.

Tiffany endorsed former president Donald Trump’s plans to deport large numbers of illegal aliens starting with criminals. He reported his experiences visiting the southern border as well as Minneapolis, which is adjacent to his district. Refugee resettlement there has had major negative effects on schools, public safety, and health care.

Asked what patriots can do to slow or stop refugee resettlement and illegal immigration in their communities, Tiffany said “you have got to talk to your sheriff,” who has broad authority to oppose resettlement and to enforce laws against illegal immigrants. Patriots should tell their sheriffs “don’t just talk tough, be tough.”

During a Q&A session Tiffany talked about the upcoming presidential election. “If Kamala [Harris] wins, things are going to get really bad,” he said. “When freedom is lost, it always takes violence to win it back.” He said repeatedly that “we don’t want that” and “violence is not the solution.”

Tiffany ended on a positive note saying he has observed many young people joining the Republican Party this year. “Young people are now free agents,” he said. They owe nothing to the Democrat Party and have watched that party sell them out to the military-industrial complex to fight their forever wars. “We need to show young people that we are the party of freedom and prosperity.”
