Lifting Restrictions on our Logging Industry
On Wednesday, I wrote a letter to Secretary Sean Duffy to congratulate him on his confirmation and address an issue that has been negatively impacting the logging industry and rural communities in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District and across the country.
Currently, state weight limits for logging trucks exceed federal limits in all major timber producing states and this disparity forces drivers that are transporting raw forest products to utilize non-interstate roads, extending transit times while increasing accident risk, fuel consumption, and road damage.
Logging is a vital industry and supports countless jobs across the country, especially in rural areas. Allowing logging trucks to use interstate highways would reduce the risk of traffic accidents by lowering the chance of collisions at intersections and traffic lights on state and local roads.
I look forward to hearing from Secretary Duffy and working with him to solve this problem for the American people and provide the logging industry with the tools they need to thrive.

Capital City Sunday
I was glad to join WKOW 27 for Capital City Sunday to discuss my first few months in Congress and the progress we have made so far during President Trump’s first days in office.

Fighting to Secure our Border
I am excited to share that I have cosponsored HR205 which aims to provide no Congressional funds for sanctuary cities. I came to Washington to uphold and strengthen our nation’s immigration laws. Sanctuary cities stand in the way of responsible and safe implementation of those laws and should no longer be able to receive federal tax dollars until they implement the rule of law.
This legislation is ultimately about ensuring that federal funds are used in ways that support, rather than undermine, national priorities. It is time these cities align with our country’s legal standards or face the consequences. As your representative, I am committed to these principles of accountability and responsibility.
Supporting our Troops!
This week, Angela and I were fortunate enough to participate in a USO Care Package Assembly Service Project. We helped assembly care packages for service members deploying or currently deployed.
The USO has delivered almost 3.75 million care packages since the Care Package Program was established in 2003.
Happy to play a small part in showing appreciation for our troops that risk everything to allow us to live in the greatest country in the world.
In-District Swearing-in Ceremony!
Today, I was happy to welcome friends and neighbors from across Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District to my district office in De Pere for a ceremonial swearing-in ceremony.
Today, I had the honor of welcoming friends and neighbors from across Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District to my district office in De Pere for a ceremonial swearing-in.
While I was officially sworn in earlier this month in Washington, DC, I wanted to take the opportunity to reaffirm my commitment to the people of Northeast Wisconsin by taking my oath here, in the district I proudly represent.
If you are ever in need of assistance, my office is here to help you!
