Schimel Campaign Will Be in De Pere on Thursday, February 27

On Thursday, February 27, at 7:00 p.m., Northeast Wisconsin (N.E.W.) Patriots will get an update on Brad Schimel’s campaign for Wisconsin Supreme Court from Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann, a spokesman for the campaign. The meeting is free of charge, open to the public, and will take place at Cedar Creek Event Center, 1018 Cedar Street, De Pere.

Schoemann was elected County Executive of Washington County (county seat: West Bend) in April 2020 after serving more than six years as County Administrator and Administrative Coordinator (County Manager). He was elected to his second term in April 2024. He also serves as President of the Wisconsin County Executives & Administrators Association (2021- to present). He has shrunk county government in every metric: lowest tax rate since before World War I, lower tax levy, and fewer government employees. He’s also a big proponent of election integrity.

He recently wrote an article defending Act 10 … and making it clear that electing Brad Schimel to the State Supreme Court is key to protecting Act 10 and the Rule of Law in Wisconsin. Schoemann wrote, “We must get Brad Schimel across the finish line. Not because we know he will rule a certain way, but because we know he is a jurist who will base his opinions on the law.”

The Schoemann family are active members of Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford. A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Schoemann served in the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 2008. He used the G.I. Bill to earn a Masters of Public Administration.
