Rep.Goeben speaks on her Assembly Bill 144 relating to preliminary health care credentials granted to previously unlicensed individuals:
“Wisconsin is in a workforce crisis. This crisis acutely impacts professions that require extensive years of education and training, especially in healthcare. With a lack of trained professionals in key industries and demand growing, there needs to be a more efficient on-ramp to keep them in Wisconsin.
This legislation will help alleviate the shortage of these professionals who would otherwise not be allowed to work and may even leave Wisconsin altogether. It will help streamline the credentialing process and allow more trained professionals to efficiently enter the workforce.
Assembly Bill 16 Relating to: the value of tangible personal property allowed in state correctional facilities.
Assembly Bill 42 Relating to: selection of architects and engineers for state projects.
Assembly Bill 90 Relating to: third-party processing of applications for occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants and granting rulemaking authority.
Assembly Bill 143 Relating to: prohibiting statutes and rules examinations for certain professions.
Assembly Bill 144 Relating to: preliminary health care credentials granted to previously unlicensed individuals.
Assembly Bill 184 Relating to: providing additional information fields regarding occupation on death records.
Assembly Bill 185 Relating to: requiring use of the electronic system of vital records for medical certifications of death.
Assembly Bill 186 Relating to: recommended training for persons who complete and sign medical certifications of death.

Assembly Bill 906 Relating to: ratification of the agreement negotiated between the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System and the Wisconsin State Building Trades Negotiating Committee, for the 2023-24 fiscal year, covering employees in the building trades crafts collective bargaining unit, and authorizing an expenditure of funds.

The owners of Cottontail Candy, LLC stopped by yesterday before testifying on my bill to ease regulations that stand in the way of their business operations. AB 851 is a License requirement exemption for retail food establishments that sell or process cotton candy.

Assembly Bill 108 Relating to: the definition of “strip search” for the purpose of the prohibition against strip-searching a pupil.
Assembly Bill 211 Relating to: authorization for tribal governments to copy certified copies of vital records for administrative use.
Assembly Bill 241 Relating to: regulation of tanning facilities.
Assembly Bill 293 Relating to: defining critical mapping data for school safety plans.
Assembly Bill 332 Relating to: reciprocal credentials.
Assembly Bill 341 Relating to: sexual misconduct against a pupil by a school staff member or volunteer and providing a penalty.
Assembly Bill 356 Relating to: grants for incumbent local exchange carriers for costs associated with Next Generation 911 and making an appropriation.
Assembly Bill 385 Relating to: indication of Hmong veteran status on an operator’s license or identification card
Assembly Bill 424 Relating to: grants to counties for veterans services.
Assembly Bill 468 Relating to: prohibiting firearms merchant category codes in payment card transactions, prohibiting government lists of firearm owners, and providing a penalty.
Assembly Bill 510 Relating to: rights reserved to a parent or guardian of a child.
Assembly Bill 511 Relating to: permits for certain oversize or overweight vehicles transporting forest products.
Assembly Bill 578 Relating to: financial exploitation of vulnerable adults. I voted against this bill. While I do feel we need to be proactive in protecting against financial exploitation of vulnerable adults I believe this bill has to many unintended negative consequences.
Assembly Bill 579 Relating to: use of fill in commercial waterways and Great Lakes waters.
Assembly Bill 637 Relating to: removing a catalytic converter without consent and providing a penalty.
Assembly Bill 669 Relating to: a liability exemption for motor vehicle sellers after sale.
Assembly Bill 715 Relating to: authorized activities and operations of credit unions; the lending area of savings and loan associations; automated teller machines; residential mortgage loans and variable rate loans; payments for public deposit losses in failed financial institutions; promissory notes of certain public bodies; repealing rules promulgated by the Department of Financial Institutions; providing an exemption from rule-making procedures; and providing a penalty.
Assembly Bill 878 Relating to: increasing the penalties for gas pipeline safety violations and providing a penalty.
