On Monday, my staff and I had the opportunity to tour the Pepsi Beverages Company bottling plant in Oshkosh. It was a great behind-the-scenes look at their operations and the hardworking people who help keep things running smoothly.

I also had the opportunity to visit the Coloma Training Center, where I learned about the skilled professionals and high-demand career path of operating engineers.
Red Tape Reset Press Conference

This week, my Republican colleagues and I introduced Wisconsin’s Red Tape Reset — a package of bills designed to cut red tape, strengthen oversight of agency regulations, and create a more accountable regulatory environment. New regulations? Show the price tag. Wisconsin needs net-zero budgeting — no more blank checks for big government.
Constituent Meetings
This week, I had the opportunity to meet with the Wisconsin Association of School Nurses and Destinations Wisconsin to discuss their legislative priorities and gain insight into the issues most important to their organizations.

Committee on Ways and Means
This week, the Committee on Ways and Means held a public hearing on several bills:
- AB 228 – relating to tax incremental financing districts containing qualified data centers.
- AB 183 – relating to standard industrial classification codes for linen supply and industrial launderers, and modifying the manufacturing and agriculture tax credit.
- AB 185 – relating to a property tax exemption for nonprofit theaters.
- AB 208 – relating to an income and franchise tax exemption for broadband expansion grants and federal high-cost program funding for broadband expansion.
The Committee also held an executive session, during which we voted on the following bills:
- AB 10 – relating to a sales and use tax exemption for the sale of gun safes, which passed unanimously (10–0).
- AB 64 – relating to an income tax subtraction for certain expenses paid by school teachers, which also passed unanimously (10–0).
