NIL Taskforce Meeting With UW Athletics

On Wednesday I met with Chris McIntosh Athletic Director for the Wisconsin Badgers to discuss issues surrounding Name Image and Likeness (NIL) that have changed the landscape of college athletics. I was recently appointed as the Wisconsin representative to a task force on NIL issues by the National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL). As many of you know, a Supreme Court case in 2021 changed the landscape of college sports forever. Some changes have been positive, while others have caused unforeseen problems that threaten the future of the sports we know and love. My meeting with AD McIntosh was very helpful to understand the current environment, and the reforms needed to protect Wisconsin athletics going forward.
