19th Senate District Update: August 22, 2025

The Waupaca and Adams County Fairs are this weekend!

Happy Friday!

This week, things started getting busier down in Madison as the summer comes to an end and the fall session begins! My office and I sat down with the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association and discussed ways to improve access to their services for folks in our state.

We also met with Versiti, to discuss their focus on organ donation education in Wisconsin. We discussed how Wisconsin, as well as the nation, is facing a large reduction in organ donors due to a misunderstanding of the process and people’s rights. Versiti’s goal is to ensure anyone who donates has the tools and resources they need to make an educated decision.

We also met with the Wisconsin Economic Development Association to discuss two bills related to business tax credits and how to free up more business development.

Finally, we met with the Wisconsin Counties Association to talk about additional flexibility when it comes to spending federal TANF funds. Currently, they are unable to utilize their full allotment.

Lastly, I hope you have a great weekend! As summer begins to wind down, I hope you take the time to spend some time outside with friends and family. The Waupaca and Adams County fairs are great places to spend the weekend!
