On April 2, I will be voting for Virgil Van Asten to represent the 4th District in the Appleton Common Council. I urge my fellow 4th District residents to do the same.
Van Asten is a life-long resident of Appleton and a homeowner here. The computer technology business he launched nearly 30 years ago is located in Appleton.
Van Asten is also a father with children in the Appleton public schools. He is actively engaged in the community as a mentor to high school STEM and VEX robotics clubs, and as a member of Appleton Concerned Taxpayers.
Van Asten will bring his lifelong attachment to Appleton and business skills to the city council. He will work hard to get the city’s growing debt problem under control, get property tax assessments under control, and address the growing crime problem.
The best way to ensure Appleton’s quality of life is to put the city on a sound financial footing and make sure our neighborhoods, parks, and retailers are safe. Virgil Van Asten is the candidate focused on doing that, and he will have my vote.
