This week I was reappointed as a Wisconsin Commissioner of the Midwest Higher Education Compact. MHEC covers 12 member states and seeks to strengthen higher education through cost savings and collaboration. This week I attended a work shop that MHEC hosted on the topic of Dual Enrollment in Chicago. The folks pictured above are all from Wisconsin and represent K12, UW-System, the Wisconsin Technical College System, and Wisconsin’s private colleges. The meeting was very productive, and I’m confident it will lead to legislation that will greatly improve dual enrollment in Wisconsin. More on that soon!

EAA 2025

Last Friday I had a chance to visit EAA and check out the 2025 Air Show. EAA week has a massive economic impact on the Fox Valley, and is a really special event that we get to enjoy every year. The plane in the picture above is a KC-135 tanker like those used to refuel our Air National Guard F-35’s. It was built in 1957 and is still flying, which is an amazing testament to American ingenuity.
