2024 State of Brown County Economic Development presentation was held at the Resch Expo Center. Municipality leaders presented the work they are doing. It was especially helpful to see all the plans to incorporate new housing developments which will include housing across spectrum of financial levels. Housing continues to be in crisis state, but local municipalities are stepping up to meet the needs of their communities.
St. John Nepomucene Catholic Community in Little Chute held a fundraiser to support Pillars Inc. Pillars offers more than temporary shelter, they bring people from homelessness to coming home. They provide shelter, support, and solutions to address the housing needs in our community. Those interested in working on the prevention of homelessness may consider reaching out to Pillars, Inc who have a variety of ways for individuals, groups, and companies to support their mission.
This week Hillcrest Elementary, a part of the Pulaski Community School District, located in Hobart, held a groundbreaking ceremony. The day was blustery and cold but the event was lively with the High School band playing and students participating in ceremony. Hobart is a rapidly growing community and the school needs to grow with the student population.
