The past couple of weeks have been steady, my staff and I have had productive meetings with:
- Social Work Licensure Compact advocates
- International Student Exchange Program
- Vida Trinity House (Tour)
- Valley Transit (Groundbreaking)
Over the next couple of weeks many of the committees I serve on will be meeting to take up pieces of legislation. I’m excited to speak on my bill SB95 that would protect educational assistance students earn when attending UW technical colleges and Universities, along with SB229 which would provide property tax relief.
Both of these bills will help ensure that those who’ve earned their money can keep more of it.
As we gear up for the remainder of the legislative session, I want to encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions, or want me to be aware of something! My legislative office is here to serve the 19th Senate District!
There are a couple of folks looking for host families in the Fox Valley area for this upcoming school year. If you or a family member are interested in this opportunity, reach out to 1-800-AFS-INFO!
