19th Senate District Update: August 21, 2023

Over the past couple of weeks my staff and I have had productive meetings with:

  • Wisconsin Peer Alliance for Nurses
  • Wisconsin Nurses Association
  • Department of Revenue
  • American Transmission Company

The Senate Committee on Universities and Revenue convened this Thursday for a public hearing, we took up:

  • Senate Bill 266: Income and Franchise Tax Exemption for Broadband Expansion grants
  • Senate Bill 268: Department of Revenue Enforcement
  • Senate Bill 332: creating the Division of Alcohol Beverages attached to the Department of Revenue; the regulation of alcohol beverages and enforcement of alcohol beverage laws

Traveling to the Capitol

My office is available five days a week for anyone looking to travel down to the Capitol and would like to check out our office!

This session, it is my honor and privilege to have been selected as the chair of the Senate Committee on Health for this upcoming biennium. My number one priority has always been to increase affordability and accessibility in health care for the state of Wisconsin. Additionally, I’m excited to share my legislation with you once we get closer to introduction, stay tuned!
