NEW Patriots to Host Secretary of State Candidates on June 18

[UPDATE: You can find video from the forum — at which only Pete Karas and Brayden Myer participated — here.]

At least eight people appear to be running for Secretary of State of Wisconsin, including some who will first have to make it through the August primary. Northeast Wisconsin (N.E.W.) Patriots have invited ALL candidates to participate in a forum to be held on Thursday, June 18, in Green Bay.

Three candidates — Pete Karas, Brayden Myer, and Jay Schroeder — have to date agreed to participate.

The forum will take place at The Village Grille restaurant, 801 Hoffman Road, Green Bay. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for networking and dinner if you choose to order. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. Registration is not required and there is no fee to attend, although a hat will be passed for free-will donations.

Secretary of State is an IMPORTANT JOB! The secretary of state is second in line (behind the lieutenant governor) to replace the governor if he/she dies, resigns, is removed from office, is impeached, is absent from the state, or is incapacitated. The secretary of state is also “chief clerk” of state government, responsible for recording the official acts of the legislature and governor and making those records available for public inspection whenever required.

About N.E.W. Patriots

Northeast Wisconsin Patriots is an all-volunteer organization committed to promoting the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The group does so by educating the public, promoting and supporting quality candidates, and communicating with elected officials, while remaining politically independent.
