If you think that the war with Iran is necessary to keep nukes from falling on US soil, you are correct. It is. But there is another war going on that will eventually lead to the implosion of our Nation.
The educational system in this country is the biggest FOR-PROFIT scam that has ever been seen. $Billions MORE are flushed down this rat hole every year and the results get INTENTIONALLY worse every year. Why? Because if they don’t get worse, they won’t need as much money in the next budget. And as you know, education budgets can never go down. There is no incentive for the education bureaucracy or the teachers’ unions or the politicians to ever reduce a budget. For it is THEY who reap the profits. And it is you, your children, and your grandchildren, who will pay the piper.
My friend Pete argues that “education” can be fixed at the State and Federal level. Really? If that’s the case, why hasn’t it ever been fixed? The answer is that it can’t be fixed there. Any hope that Trump or anyone else can beat the Congressional swamp at this game is just delusional. I’m not saying that efforts at the State and Federal levels are totally futile. I’m saying that success will not happen there. It’s not up to politicians. It is up to you.
It is my contention that education can only be fixed at the local school board level by individuals and small, united groups. Attend meetings, ask questions, and demand answers. When you don’t get the answers you want, change school board members until you DO get the answers.
Thanks to the Democrats, changing school board members is not all that hard. Dems have configured school board elections to be held in off years during times of guaranteed low turnout. Use their own tactic against them. If you can get a small portion of voters to turn out and vote, you will win. Within an election cycle or two you will flip the board and affect both the quality of your schools and the cost. For those of you in Rio Linda that means better educated kids and lower taxes.
