19th Senate District Update: April 28, 2023

This past Tuesday, the Senate Committee on Education & Committee on Universities and Revenue met to hold public hearings on a few high-profile bills.

In the Senate Committee on Universities and Revenue, we heard more about Senate Bills 1 and 2, both of which look at reducing the tax burden in Wisconsin.

In the Education Committee, I was able to testify in support of one of my bills (Senate Bill 74) along with Representative Shae Sortwell (R-De Pere). This amended bill would allow parents another opportunity to submit an application to send their kid to a school of their choice. Additionally, we considered several executive appointments and a few other pieces of legislation.
