19th Senate District Update: July 25, 2025

Hello! I hope you had a good week.

This week was another busy one up in our area! My staff and I spent time at the Mackville Quarry in Appleton. We met some of the quarry owners and learned more about the company. We also got to see first-hand how aggregates are processed. We also met with Oshkosh Sheriff Matz and Representative Gustafson to discuss legislative priorities and public safety initiatives for law enforcement in the Oshkosh area and had an opportunity to meet with advocates for the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program on the Trestle Trail.

Also, thank you to the folks who were able to make it to my listening session in Redgranite this week! It was great to spend time hearing about your concerns and questions regarding various topics moving their way through the legislature.

Lastly, we made progress on a new proposal regarding banning technology on state devices from federally defined “countries of concern.” This will help create a more robust cybersecurity infrastructure for all state agencies, and is circulating for co-sponsorship until early August.

I hope you and your family have a great weekend! I look forward to seeing folks at EAA AirVenture 2025 as they wrap up and Mile of Music next week!
