Happy Friday!
This was a productive week, mainly spent across our district.
I presented Eagle Scout citations to the graduating members of Troop 3 at their Court of Honor. I enjoyed celebrating this achievement with the scouts and their families. We also attended the Portage County Towns Association meeting. We heard from town and county officials about the challenges they face, ways to better provide for their constituents, and potential legislative priorities for the upcoming session.
Additionally, we participated in the Java Jive ribbon cutting ceremony in Waupaca. It is always exciting to start a new business, and I look forward to their success. While we were in the area, we delivered Blue Books to constituents that wanted a copy. We also toured the Mt. Morris Mutual Insurance Company, which provided some valuable insight to the work they are doing in Coloma and the surrounding area.
On Monday, we will be recognizing Memorial Day. Throughout our area there will be many events, parades, and ceremonies to celebrate and remember our service members who died in the line of duty. I encourage you and your family to attend one of these. There are a few of these events listed below.
Upcoming Event: We will host another listening session at the Black Creek Village Library on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m. I hope to see many of you there!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Local Road Construction
We’ve received numerous inquiries from residents about planned road projects in our area. We’ve been actively communicating with local officials, the Department of Transportation, and community members regarding these projects and are assisting wherever possible.
On Tuesday, we met with representatives from the Department of Transportation, and they are working with their contractor to potentially reduce the impact on traffic in the area.
