Happy Friday!
It was a busy week both in Madison and back home in our area. I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet with so many dedicated Wisconsinites and organizations to discuss the issues that matter most to our communities.
This week, I participated in a Wisconsin Health News panel to discuss what the “Make America Healthy Again” movement could mean for Wisconsin. We had a great conversation about how federal health policies, as well as personal choices like diet, exercise, and vaccinations, impact us here in Wisconsin. It was a productive discussion with folks from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
My staff and I also held a number of important meetings. We met with the Combat Antisemitism Movement to discuss legislation and ongoing efforts to combat antisemitic behaviors and violence. We also met with representatives from Lenovo to hear their suggestions on my bill that would restrict state and local government employees from downloading foreign-based applications like TikTok on work-issued phones.
Additionally, we met with the Wisconsin Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the Wisconsin Rare Disease Alliance to discuss how we can continue to support our healthcare professionals and constituents living with rare diseases.
In our area, my staff and I had the opportunity to tour Waupaca High School, where it was wonderful to speak with students, teachers, and staff about their experiences and see the great work happening at the school. We also met with Black Creek Village President Andrew Gleason to discuss projects and ways to support the village.
Lastly, I’d like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Grand Chute Police Chief Greg Peterson on his retirement after 45 years of dedicated service to our community. He will be missed! I’d also like to offer my best wishes to the new Police Chief, Dave Maas, as he begins his new role next week.
I hope you have a great weekend!

Nice read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch since I found it for him smile Thus let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!
