2nd Assembly District Update: September 17, 2025

Floor Session 9/11

On Thursday 9/11 the Assembly met for session. I voted in favor of all the following bills.

AB 33 expands current law and makes it a Class I felony to distribute synthetically generated images of an intimate representation of an identifiable person with the intent to manipulate that person. This bill also makes it a Class A misdemeanor to reproduce a sexually explicit representation of a person without their consent.

AB 39 specifies state agencies must require employees to work in the office at least 80 percent of their regularly scheduled work hours per month.

AB 58 prohibits any flag other then the U.S. flag, municipal flags, the POW flag, or the Wisconsin state flag from being flown or displayed on the outside of any state building, local government building, or school.

AB 146 requires the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) to allow employers at least 12 business days to respond to an initial request for information about Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits.

AB 161 prevents any state agency or local government from preventing the use or sale of any motor vehicle or other device because of its energy source.

AB 189 allows a court to enter a judgment for divorce or legal separation based on an affidavit signed by all parties.

AB 211 exempts tobacco bars from the ban of smoking in public buildings as long as they meet certain requirements. The Requirements include that only the smoking of cigars and pipes is allowed, anyone under the age of 21 is prohibited from entering the premises, and a a sign must be posted stating that smoking pipes and cigars is allowed on the premise.

AB 308 prohibits any funds of Wisconsin or any funds from the federal government passing through the state treasury from being used to compensate health care services for any individual that is not lawfully in the United Sates. You can watch my speech here.

AB 388  allows a one time grant to be given to Rogers Behavioral Health to build a mental health facility in the Chippewa Valley region of the state.
