4th Assembly District Update: November 15, 2024

Thank You, Veterans!

This week we honored our veterans for their selfless service and sacrifice. I am incredibly grateful for those who have stepped up to serve in order to keep our great nation safe and free. Thank you as well to all the families of our veterans, who have made tremendous sacrifices for our country.

I was honored to spend part of Veterans Day at the Lineville Intermediate School. I was so impressed by this all student-led program honoring our veterans. They did a beautiful job honoring our heroes!

2024 Capitol Christmas Tree

It’s that time of year again–we’re prepping the State Capitol building for the Christmas season! Each year our Capitol Christmas Tree has a theme and this year’s theme is, “125 Years of Wisconsin’s State Parks.” The tree is always decorated with handmade ornaments from kids, students and families across the state. You can now submit ornaments that celebrate our beautiful state parks to be hung on the tree. Ornaments must be mailed by Friday, November 22, 2024. You should send them to:

Emily Gorman
Wisconsin Department of Administration
Division of Facilities and Transportation Services
17 West Main Street, Suite 119
Madison, WI 53703

A few other important tips:

  • Make your ornament from non-breakable material that will hold up when shipped.
  • Ornaments should be about 4-6 inches in size.
  • Make your ornament from a color that will contrast with the tree so it’s sure to be seen!
  • Attach a ten-inch loop of ribbon or string from each ornament.
  • Ornaments aren’t returned.

If you have questions, call Facilities Management at (608)266-1485.
