Gail’s Law Signed into Law!

Yesterday, Gail’s Law was signed into law by Governor Tony Evers. When I first entered the Assembly, this was one of the first bills I had the privilege to work on, so seeing it become law is incredibly meaningful.

This legislation expands access to critical breast cancer screenings for women at high risk, removing financial barriers to life-saving supplemental screenings and improving early detection across Wisconsin.

Thank you to Senator Rachael Cabral-Guevara, Representative Amanda Nedweski, and Representative Cindi Duchow for their work on this bill, and to the Zeamer family for sharing Gail’s story and helping create lasting change for women across Wisconsin.

Final Four Appearance

What an incredible season for the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh Women’s Basketball team! Congratulations to the Titans on a tremendous run to the Final Four in the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship.

Reaching the national semifinals is an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and teamwork shown all season long. The entire program, players, and coaching staff should be proud of what they achieved this year.

Congratulations on a great season, Titans!

Research in the Rotunda

Last week, two students from the 55th Assembly District were at the Capitol for Universities of Wisconsin Research in the Rotunda Day. Ella from Oshkosh (University of Wisconsin–Green Bay) and Sheldon from Omro (University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh) presented their research as part of this annual event highlighting student innovation from across the Universities of Wisconsin. Research in the Rotunda is a great opportunity for students to showcase their work, share new discoveries, and highlight the cutting-edge research taking place across the Universities of Wisconsin.
