Thank you for being an informed constituent of Wisconsin’s 4th State Assembly District. In my newsletter you will find updates about your community, the state legislature, and everything in between.
Dear friend,
As the 2023-24 legislative session is now under way, I want to give you a look ahead at legislative activity for the next biennium.
As Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Energy and Utilities this session, I will be hearing from residents and fellow legislators on a number of issues that are increasingly important to Wisconsinites. In the Energy and Utilities Committee, we have the opportunity to delve into energy and technology-related legislation before it is brought before the entire chamber. I look forward to leading this committee with my colleague Representative Rob Summerfield, who is joining the committee as Vice-Chairman this session.
In addition to chairing the Energy and Utilities Committee, I also have several of my own legislative priorities that I will be working on this session. Among these are creating tax-free retirement in Wisconsin, filling in the missing legislative piece to prevent another backlog of sexual assault kits from occurring, and strengthening our state’s workforce by getting people off the sidelines and back to work.
I hope you will continue to read my updates and follow along with my Facebook page as this legislative session continues.
As always, if you have any questions or feedback on legislation or need help with an issue of state government, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office for assistance.
Sincerely,
David Steffen
Representative
4th Assembly District
