19th Senate District Update: May 8, 2026

Happy Friday!

This was an exceptionally productive week, with meaningful meetings both in Madison and throughout our district. In the Capitol, I had the opportunity to participate in a collaborative discussion with local business leaders who partner with the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, as well as university representatives. We dove into the current challenges facing these partnerships, explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration, and began identifying potential legislative priorities for the upcoming session. These conversations are vital as we work to ensure that our higher education institutions and the businesses they support continue to drive innovation, economic growth, and opportunity across our area.

I also met with representatives from Molina Healthcare. It was a productive conversation that provided valuable updates on the important work they are doing to expand access to quality healthcare services throughout the state.

Back home in our area, I had the opportunity to tour Switchgear Power Systems in Winneconne. This innovative company specializes in electrical equipment and power distribution solutions, playing a critical role in supporting reliable energy infrastructure for businesses and communities. It was insightful to learn more about their operations, the high-quality products they manufacture, and their ambitious goals for future growth and expansion.

Additionally, we hosted a productive listening session in Redgranite, where constituents shared their thoughts and concerns on a wide range of issues affecting daily life in our district. We have another one coming up next Tuesday in New London! Details below:

Have a wonderful weekend!
