19th Senate District Update: July 18, 2025

Hello! I hope you had a good week.

This week, my staff and I met with folks from the Wisconsin Hospitals Association, Disability Rights Wisconsin, aesthetic provider representatives, and quite a few folks in our area.

We were able to continue progress on a number of bills we’re getting ready to circulate this summer and fall, including proposals that can directly lower out-of-pocket costs for patients. We also continue to monitor changes in recommended guidance for aesthetic providers, particularly as it revolves around access to wellness clinics.

We also discussed ways to potentially improve our bill that would help deter folks from misrepresenting that they have a service animal in order to protect the folks who truly need them. You can read more about that bill here.

In our area, I was happy to tour and spend time in Waupaca with the folks from the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce. We toured the Waupaca Foundry and met with their leadership team about upcoming opportunities. We also had a chance to meet with folks from Farmers State Bank.

It was a great opportunity to pop by other local businesses like Adventure Outdoors, Wanderlust, Indian Crossing Casino, Gusmer Enterprises, Clear Water Harbor, and end the day at the ribbon cutting ceremony with the Waupaca Area Chamber Ambassadors for Empty Barrel Distillery.

I hope you and your family have a great weekend! I look forward to seeing folks at Winneconne Sovereign State Days and EAA AirVenture 2025!
