It was great to be back to work in Washington this week to continue fighting for you. This week, to celebrate the kickoff of the NFL season, I was proud to join Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) to introduce the bipartisan Go Pack Go Act.
Currently, across the state, there are more than 415,000 Wisconsinites in 13 counties who are stuck in out-of-state markets in either Minnesota or Michigan. As a result, Wisconsinites in these counties cannot receive some, or any, TV broadcast stations based in Wisconsin. These media restrictions force Packer fans in those 13 counties to be stuck watching the Lions or Vikings instead of cheering on the Pack.
When fans in border counties are blocked from watching Packer games or tuning into Wisconsin-based stations, they miss out on more than just game day – they lose access to the stories and voices that reflect their values and experiences.
The Go Pack Go Act will ensure that Wisconsinites have access to Green Bay Packer games even if they are in a county that is considered out-of-market. The bill requires cable and satellite providers to provide Wisconsin subscribers access to programming from stations within the Wisconsin media market, so families can stay informed and connected from wherever they live in the state.
This is a common sense, bipartisan bill, and I look forward to working with Senator Baldwin and my House colleagues to get it into the end zone. If you live in the land of Lambeau, you deserve to see the Green and Gold every Sunday. No exceptions.
Thank you for starting your weekend off with us. I hope you enjoy this week’s edition of The Wied Wire.

Weathering the Storm, Together
Last week, I joined the Wisconsin Congressional Delegation in sending a letter to President Trump in support of Wisconsin’s request for a Major Disaster Declaration. Last month, counties across the state, including Door County, experienced unprecedented rainfall totals. These storms resulted in washed-out roads, widespread power outages, wastewater system failures, and extensive water damage. Since then, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has worked with state agencies to conduct joint preliminary damage assessments, which confirmed the severity and scope of damage across the state. A major disaster declaration would allow federal aid programs for affected communities to supplement recovery efforts. I was proud to stand with the entire state delegation to ensure our communities receive the federal support they need to recover.
District Update
Over the district work period, I had the pleasure of connecting with constituents throughout 11 counties. From healthcare providers and educators to farmers and small business owners, it was great to meet with those who play a significant role in making Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
Supporting Local Agriculture: Visiting Jauquet’s Hillview Dairy
Agriculture is the backbone of our economy and I’m proud to represent a district that ranks 4th in the nation for milk production. I had the pleasure to visit Jauquet’s Hillview Dairy to discuss the issues facing our great farmers and how I can continue to help deliver solutions for them in Washington. Thank you to the Jauquet Family for your hospitality and I look forward to continuing working together!

WI-08 Ranks #1 in Cheese Production: Tour of AgroPur
[see featured photo above] I had the opportunity to tour AgroPur in Luxemburg to meet with their team along with members of Voice of Milk, Dairy Business Association, and the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation. It was great to learn about the history of the Luxemburg plant, from the Krohn Family to Trega Foods, and the impressive work that has been carried on for decades. During the tour, I witnessed the cheese making process and learned about AgroPur’s partnerships with local milk producers throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Thank you to AgroPur for having me and for all of your hard work!
Meeting Local Heroes: Waupaca County Fair
I traveled to the Waupaca County Fair in Weyauwega and had the honor to speak to a group of our nation’s heroes to discuss my work in Congress and how I will continue to fight for each and every one of them. I want to extend a special thanks to Dave, Commander of the Sheveland-Taylor American Legion Post 14, for the invitation and to all of our veterans for their unwavering service to our country.
I also stopped by the Waupaca County Farm Bureau food stand to meet with several of their members and volunteers to thank them for their hard work. Thank you to all of the organizers, volunteers, and attendees for another great year of the fair!

Connecting with Constituents: Oconto County Fair
I attended the Oconto County Fair in Gillett and met with several constituents and community leaders, including Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban, who play a vital role in the making the event safe and successful. It was great to speak with many farming families throughout Oconto County to learn about the preparation for the livestock showing and auction. I want to thank all of the event organizers and volunteers for another great year of the Oconto County Fair!
